Have you ever struggled with dressing up your jeans? Besides workout gear, jeans are pretty much a regular staple of mine. When I find a pair that fit me just right I want to wear them all the time! Jeans can be worn as a casual outfit or you can style jeans up for a more refined look.
Jeans can be fancy too
I've shared in past blog posts how much I love distressed and raw hem jeans. They are my absolute favorite! But jeans are not just for casual outings. They can be easily upgraded by adding two key pieces.
Adding a Blazer is an Instant Upgrade
Adding a blazer from one of your business suits is an instant upgrade. I recommend one that has a petite cut. I am not petite, but a little style trick I use is buying blazers in petite sizes, even if I have to get it a size or two larger than what I would normally wear.
I find petite blazers more flattering for my figure because they are tailored and cinched at the waist-- giving an hourglass allusion. Heels paired with jeans also instantly make jeans go from everyday wear to chic.
Blazer: Women's Bi-Stretch Twill Blazer - A New Day™ This classic one-button blazer fits great and perfect for adding chic flare to any outfit. It comes in 4 different colors. The one I am wearing is Federal Blue.
Shirt: Women's Striped Any Day Long Sleeve Shirt - A New Day™ Blue/White This top is a classic button down. It's hard to tell in the picture but it has stripes with little pink polka dots. The striped pattern and polka dots provide just the right amount of detail.
Jeans: These jeans are no longer available, but here is a similar style. The key to this jean style, is the stretch, raw hem, and distressed features.
Shoes: Jessica Simpson Polla Pump These satin pumps are everything. The bow on the heel takes this shoe to a whole other level! They are comfortable and a must have.
Bag: Louis Vuitton Speedy 35 in Damier Azur Canvas This is one of my favorite bags. It was my first Louis Vuitton purchase. I bought it five years ago and never regretted it! The Speedy is a classic bag that can literally be worn with anything.
